Steve Jobs, 1955-2011
For some of you, this may be the first time you’ve ever even seen a picture of the man who has given you so much:
your iPhone that you text all your friends from,
the music in your iTunes library,
your iPod or iTouch that holds that music,
your iPad that you now read your bible from,
your iMac or MacBook that you’re more than likely viewing this post on
…basically what has become your iDentity.
I didn’t know this man personally but I’ve definitely been impacted by his life: I’m typing this on my MacBook.
Steve Jobs, again, I didn’t know you personally, but on behalf of all of us, both Apple and PC lovers alike, let me say thank you and I hope that one day very soon, when someone asks how they can Think Different and help change the world even more, they’ll find the comfort of hearing: There’s an App for that.

because of His compassion towards us;
because of all He has done for you;
by the mercy of God
to make a decision
to present
yourself
to give
your life
to offer
your body
to take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—
and place it before God as an offering.
a holy
devoted
pleasing
pure
acceptable
dedicated
living
sacrifice
to God.
This is
your reasonable service
your spiritual worship
the appropriate approach
the most sensible way to serve
this has to be the Way to worship Him
—this is true worship
Do not be conformed to this world
don’t become like the people of this world Don’t be like the people of this world
do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world
don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking
don’t be shaped by this world
don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world
do not mold to the pattern of this world
but instead
be transformed
by the renewal of your mind;
by letting God fix your attention on Him: you’ll be changed from the inside out;
you’ll be changed
from within—a new way of thinking—
and without—a new way of living.
inside and out, full and complete—a new way of being
Then you will recognize what He wants from you;
then you will know
what is good
and acceptable
and perfect.
Then you will understand
how to do everything
that is pleasing to Him
and be able to determine what God really wants
and learn to know God’s will for you
because God brings the best out of you
He develops you
to be well-formed
mature
good
pleasing
and perfect.
